The Board of Management has decided that we continue with the uniform and jacket (optional) that we have but we are introducing the option of a generic tracksuit. This consists of a plain grey tracksuit bottoms and grey sweatshirt with a red polo shirt underneath. Samples from the local chain stores are on display in the school (please see image below). Families are welcome to continue to use the tracksuits they have. Tracksuits will continue to be worn on PE days only.

Fifth Class recently undertook a project for Engineer’s Week. They were given a week to design and build a bridge using recyclable materials. They could base their designs on any of the bridges we studied ( Beam Bridge, Suspension Bridge, Arch Bridge etc) or a combination of them. The children were also required to keep a log of the work they carried out each night as well as submit two detailed plans of their design.
