Essay Competition
19/11/2010
Ms. Brennan recently ran an essay competition for the third to sixth classes. The title of the essay was,’What it means to me to be Irish’. We had been studying Irishness at our school assemblies so we had a head start when it came to writing our essays. There was a winner from each class and an overall prize winner.
It was a family thing for the Lancasters, with Eoin winning the third class prize and Aoife winning the fourth. Sarah Shortall was the fifth class winner and Cormac O’Brien was the sixth class winner.
Robyn Smith from fifth class was the winner of the overall prize. Well done Robyn.
There were lots of excellent entries and Ms. Brennan and Mrs. Power really enjoyed reading them. Every student who entered received a pen with the name of the school on it.
